We're builders first. Each engagement is staffed end-to-end by the people who will deliver it — no hand-offs to a faceless bench. Our work spans software architecture, embedded and physical systems, automation, and the kind of applied research that moves a roadmap forward.

Below is a working index. Most engagements draw on two or three of these in combination — a control-system rewrite that needs new firmware, a research proposal that has to terminate in working hardware, a master-plan that has to actually be built.

Most engineering goes wrong long before the first line of code or the first weld. It goes wrong in what wasn't asked, what wasn't measured, and what wasn't written down.

Our method is unhurried on purpose. We open every engagement with discovery — the problem in the client's words, the constraints we'll have to live with — then commit it to a written brief that everyone signs. From there we move in deliberate stages — study, build, instrument, hand off — with documentation and review gates between each.

The result is systems that are inspectable, recoverable, and easy to operate long after the people who built them have moved on.

§ 03 — Principles Three commitments we hold across every engagement

Build for the operator, not the demo. The system that wins is the one a tired technician can fix at 2 AM with a flashlight and the documentation we wrote.
i. Resilience over polish
Optimism is a discipline. We assume problems are solvable, that the right answer exists, and that careful work is what gets you to it.
ii. Optimism, applied
Knowledge is owed to the client. Every system we build is delivered with the documents, drawings, and reasoning a future team will need to own it without us.
iii. Transferable knowledge

If you can describe the problem, we can scope the work.

A short note is enough to start. We respond to every inquiry in writing, within a few business days, with either a fit assessment or a referral.
